RewardPay Adds Koru Airpoints™ to Boost Travel Rewards

RewardPay has added Koru Airpoints™ to its offerings, providing business owners and operators more choice in maximising value.

RewardPay, New Zealand’s leading payment platform for helping businesses earn rewards on everyday expenses, has announced the addition of Koru Airpoints to its offering. This will give business owners and operators even more choice in maximising the value of their operational spend.

Previously focused on American Express Membership Rewards, the addition of Koru now enables businesses to earn Airpoints every time they use RewardPay to settle bills with the IRD, ACC, suppliers, landlords, or contractors.

This is a significant development for Kiwi businesses seeking to gain more from regular payments that traditionally yielded no return.

“Partnering with Koru brings a new level of flexibility to our users,” said Mark Dawes, RewardPay CEO.

“Whether you’re flying for work, sending a team member overseas, or planning your next trip, the ability to earn Airpoints on major business expenses is a real advantage.”

RewardPay’s new Airpoints options include:

  • 1 Airpoint per $25 spent (4.55% fee + GST)
  • 1 Airpoint per $50 spent (2.30% fee + GST)
  • 1 Airpoint per $100 spent – credit card only (1.15% fee + GST)
  • 1 Airpoint per $200 spent – credit card only (0.6% fee + GST)

The service allows users to pay with their American Express card, even when recipients only accept bank transfers or other card types. RewardPay acts as a payment intermediary, processing the Amex transaction and forwarding funds to the intended recipient as a standard deposit.

“Cashflow flexibility is one of RewardPay’s core benefits,” said Dawes.

“Now we’ve paired that with New Zealand’s most recognisable travel rewards programme, giving business owners two ways to get ahead — financially and literally.”

RewardPay is especially popular among SMEs and financially disciplined operators who want to unlock value from paying PAYE, GST, ACC, and rent on an Amex card. RewardPay’s tax-deductible fees make the service even more cost-effective for companies and high-earning individuals.
