RewardPay NZ accepts New Zealand-issued American Express credit cards (personal or business), as well as bank payments via Pay-by-Bank. Pay-by-Bank lets you fund payments directly from your New Zealand bank account via bank transfer (account number). Pre-paid and debit cards are not accepted. All card details are securely encrypted and stored in your RewardPay wallet.
Yes. You can use either Amex or Pay-by-Bank across your payments, choosing the most suitable method for each transaction. For example, some businesses use Amex for most payments to earn Membership Rewards points, and Pay-by-Bank for larger payments where they want to avoid card limits or access lower fees. Both payment methods support opting in to earn loyalty partner points at checkout.
Yes, for Amex payments. RewardPay NZ offers three subscription tiers: Free ($0/month), Silver ($85/month) and Gold ($165/month). Amex non-Government transaction rates are 2.35% on the Free tier, 2.25% on Silver, and 2.10% on Gold. Amex Government payments are a flat 1.67% across all tiers. Bank payments start from 1.99% across all tiers, with the rate varying based on the loyalty partner selected at checkout. All platform fees are billed 3 months in advance.
